not exactly . I did this on a 92 tbi 350 sub. used the return press. reg and a 670 street avenger carb. worked like a dreem. motor built to be a torque monster. 92 sub. 9 pass. 4x4..... eats rice grinders for lunch three have chased down my wife just to see what she had in it for a motor... lmao

 

Alright I have everything set up and plumbed and it's looking good. I noticed that they pump will turn on for a second when the ignition is turned on then then it will turn off. Will I have to run a seperate switch to make it run constantly or will it turn itself back on? And I am using the Holley 670 Street Avenger also Another thing... What is the stock size for the crank pulley? I think mine is aftermarket... Will someone with a TPI setup and serpentine system go out and measure their crank pulley diameter? Mine is about 6 inches...

 

what exactly are you doing about the fuel pump? you could run a jumper wire on the oil pressure switch so that the electric pump runs constant, unless you installed the switch. if you are running a mechanical pump, you will want to remove the electric pump.

 

I am keeping the fuel pump from my fuel injection and installed a flow through regulator. My question is will the fuel pump stay on by itself when I turn the ignition on? Right now when I turn the ignition on I can here it turn on, then turn right back off, I'm guessing it did this to prime the old fuel injection setup? But did the computer tell it to turn back on after the motor fired?

 

the only way to know is how you wired it, or to run it and check.

 

I haven't touched the wiring to the fuel pump haha. It's jus the same as when it was running my fuel injection. The only thing I have done is plumbed a fuel pressure regulator on it for my carb.

 

alright, then you will need to either wire it to a switch, or get an oil pressure switch to trigger it. the efi setup had that from the factory to keep the pump on only if a minimum 5psi oil was present. i find it a good fail safe to use that

 

Well it should kick back on as soon as I crank the engine then. I haven't taken the computer out, just don't have the fuel injection or ignition system hooked up

 

There's your problem. When the engine starts, the factory ignition sent a signal to the computer to tell it to energize the fuel pump relay.

 

Ohhhhh.... So I'm kind of confused on what the oil pressure switch is. I have an oil pressure sensor that is plugged into the block right above the oil filter, is that also the oil pressure switch? And I can just run a wire from the hot side of that to my fuel pump?
