engine info

i read that early 80s v8s have rolloer lifters.how do i know if my 86 IROC has them without tearing it down.

I don't believe so either, no roller rockers.

If I remember correctly, Chevy small block went to factory roller lifters in 1987. If you can figure out the year of the engine, then you won't have to tear it apart.
