i am trying to verify that my 89 iroc z28 has a 350 c.i. engine 4 bolt mains. all i could fine on the engine was this stamped on the block, CFD 548. what does this mean

 

Where did you get the code from? If it came off the pad on the block in front of the pass. side head, then that would mean it's a 1982 305. If you got it from somewhere else, then you need to keep looking.

thanks for the reply, i found this stamped on both sides of the engine block close to the rear of the engine.

 

the real code u need is in a place thats not visible with the engine in the car an heads on its on the back psngr side of the block that full engine code will tell all had identified my 89 iroc befor swapping a perf block into it as zz4 put it n lost my code and couldnt re id it till a yr later after doing a double haed job so when u do get it down don't loose it.
