Default Dead Completely Help

Okay.... unknown of an issue with an all stock (because I want to ) 1991 305 CAMARO.. its my fathers and its been sitting in the garage for a good year now.... I just recently arrived back here in Seattle to probably stay for a while, but for the meantime I wanted to help my father with this little problem. He love his car but one day he was driving down the road and all of a sudden the car just completely dies on him. He thinks it might be an electrical problem with the alarm, but I am thinking alternator. Please help..

does it run with a fully charged battery? if the alterantor is bad the car will run till the battery is pretty much dead so if the car turns over (does it?) i dont think thats the problem. is it getting spark to the plugs? have u tried to pour a little gas in the carb/tb to see if its a fuel problem?

It does get spark and the battery is now fully charged.. so I think the alternator problem is ruled out. So now I starting to think that my father is right about the electrical system and the problem with the alarm. not to sound silly but did anyone have a problem like this. If so what can I do to solve this problem?

if your getting spark and its not backfiring then u need to check the fuel pressure. try a little gas in the tb and see if it will run for a few seconds.

Sounds Good and will do but by any chance do you think the stock alarm system isn't the issue?

if it turns over then i dont think its vats aka secutity system. first thing is to find out if its a fuel problem or a spark problem. if it trys to run when u dump or squirt a little fuel in the tb then we know its a fuel problem.

are you talking about vats security? or aftermarket alarm? if you have a killswitch make sure its not shorting out. I cant tell you how many times ive seen people ready to junk a car because of half assed killswitch installs
