Hey guys- names Tim and it's my first time posting in Camaro Forums! Anyway, Im about to buy an 86 camaro, and have a couple questions. Any help is appreciated. First of all, I noticed a thump from under the console area. Tranny mount, right? Next, The car hasn't been started for days, and when I started it(no smoke at all!), the lights would constantly slightly dim on and off. I don't know if this was the car was shaking a bit(305 V8 4bbl) at idle or what. They said it hadn't been ran in about a week,so the alternator hasn't charged the battery recently. It did fine when drivingAny ideas guys? Oh, and how hard is it to rebuild a carb? Thanks alot guys

I should also add that the thump only occured when I took of fast. Could it be anything else?
