I'm just curious what you guys get for gas mileage on your lt1 / ls1's ?
( I heard ls1's are better )

 

It depends on where I'm driving(obviously). On average I get about 16-17, and that's pretty much 100% city. If I do exclusively highway, I get about 25 or so...I don't do that too much, so I don't have many tests to take it from. That's with the auto too.

 

sweet, anyone else? I have a v6 and want to upgrade but im worried about fuel economy I'd like to get a broader range of info thanks guys !

 

What are you getting with your V6?

 

Believe it or not my 94 LT1 gets the same as my 88 2.8 in the city which is about 14 mpg. But on the Highway the 2.8 gets much much better. The 2.8 does burn alittle oil which probably adds to its poor city mpg.

 

i mostly just drive to work on the highway and i get 28 mpg, i dont know about the street

 

2002 B4C Camaro - 108,890 miles - stock - GREAT condition

18 MPG City (consistant basis) and 23 MPG on the highway (average for the 2.5 day [2,085 miles] drive from Florida to Arizona)

 

jtvyper man im getting about 23 average with city/highway in my commute

anyone else have any comments ?? Im thinking about getting a v8 but im worried about how much more fuel will cost. do you think I would notice that much of a difference driving a v8 ?

 

If mine was a V8 it would be gallons to the mile. LOL

 

Honestly I couldn't tell you ............ I have not even figured it up ....... today was the first time that I have had it out in over a month .... so figuring up gas milage is nothing that I have done in the past due to the fact that I never drive it.

Considering that its a V8 .. my first guess would be that most likely its not to good.
