Default can someone explain to me the specs of aftermarket cams?

ok.....i know how to rebuild engines not so much know how to make them more powerful besides boring them.
now what i wana know is what all this information means:

Hydraulic Roller-Mild performance applications, very good mid-range, 3.23-3.73 gears.
valve timing 0.006 lobe-center angle 110 intake centerline 106
duration intake 264 exhaust 270 duration @0.050" lift intake 212 exhaust 218
valve lift intake 0.487 exhaust 0.495 lobe lift intake 0.325 exhaust 0.33

basically what i wana know is how to figure out what cam i want by looking at the numbers

what im doing is trying to get more hp out of my daily driver 89 305 engine 175 hp is not enough i want more around 250hp

Sorry for the size. [:-]

Give me some numbers to fill in on the left hand side and it will show you what you'll get.

Now say what you get has its max HP at 6000 rpm, will the rest of your engines build take 6000 rpm. If you have an automatic it is going to shift around 4800 rpm without sopme work.
Say you have the stock valve springs and rods you don't want to be getting up in those high rpms so you don't have any catastrophic (sp) faiilure.

Thats a big cam unless you beef up eveything else. You def. want your peak power a little bit lower than that, ive got a fully built 700R4 and a fairly well built 350 in mine, and I can see 6k but I can harness the power quite a bit better lower in the power band.

I don't know if you know it but the pic I posted was just an example of what I can do on desktop dyno and the pic also allows a person to see what info I can input to get results.

as for the rest of the info so far the engine is bone stock
the 305 isnt gonna stay for long and what ever cam i buy i want to later place into the 350 block im having a friend build which will be bored as close to a 400 block as safely possible, but for now i want to squeeze some more hp out of the stocker. doing so by some boltons and a cam.
IE. exhaust, vortec intake, vortec heads, idk what kind of carb or so on yet as i have tbi currently, i also have msd blaster 2 coil, an my uncle will give me an msd ignitoin box

Do an online search. I found a free cracked version of Desktop Dyno 2003.

Mine is Dyno 2000 and it was kinda expensive. Look up www.motionsoftware.com and you'll see why I have never updated. [:'(]
