I am considering buying a 3rd gen but not quite sure what year model I need to be looking at. Basically I want a car I can throw my carb'd small block in and not have to worry about all the extra wiring. Did they have a certain year I should be looking at, or would any work for my project?

 

Any 3rd gen that originally came with a carbed SBC will do.

 

I would buy a Z considering the the room already made for the original block. Idt the year matters as long as you have the correct harnesses

 

Were Z's only made with sbc? I am not very knowledgeable with camaros, just looking for a simple project.

 

All 3rd gen v8 (1982-1992) had the 305 SBC small block as their base

 

Is there a difference with wiring if it was a TPI?
