i recently installed a 409ci small block into my car.the stock engine was a 305. i used alot of the wiring harness from the original engine and all accessories. the car is no longer tbi it has a carb now.the alternator will not charge the battery. i took the alternator and had it checked 3 times and it checked out out fine.has anyone else had this problem?

 

check your wiring. maybe you accidentally cut a wire or your connections are bad or something

 

i finally figured it out,the big wire coming off the alternator wasnt getting power to the battery. i just ran a new one thanks
