Default ac compressor bracket

I just dropped a 1978 350 into my 1986 camaro and it has been the biggest pain. The trouble I am having right now is that the brackets for the ac that are made for that year engine, are not made to hold new style compressors. They use the old elongated compressors. I really don't want to have to buy a compressor when I have a perfectly good one. So, my question to the Camaro Gods is what the hell do I do to mount my compressor to my engine?!

u will need to transfer everything from the 86 motor to the 78 motor. if the 86 motor is a 6 then u will need to find the stuff for a 86 v8 from a wrecking yard.
