i have an 89 camaro that i just purchased a few weeks ago. just wondering if anyone has any tips they could provide me. im open to any suggestions.

 

I would make sure all the mechanicals and fluilds are up to date. Remember it is a 20+ year old car and depending on the past history/abuse will indicate what needs replacement. First bit of advice forget engine mods until everything else done.
