im thinking of buying a supercharger for my 89 camaro but i heard that installing it will cut the life of yourengine in half is this true?

 

ona stock engine with stock internals, it will shorten the life of your engine if you beat on it. how many miles are on your engine? does your engine leak? i would suggest not force inducting an engine with more than 100 000miles on it, to much of a risk IMO. i would get another block and build it to handle the supercharger then put that in the car. because factory engines were not designed with superchargers in mind
