i think its supposed to stick down and scoop air up into the radiator. thats how the one on my 93 is. it looks like u blocked off the avenue for the air to get to the radiator. u should find a stock one and fab it to be similar.

didnt i say earlier that i had ordered one and sent it back because i could fab on myself so yes i did look at it and if you have ever seen a 3rd gen before that sucks air straight through the bumper that flow directly into the radiator and the ram air and its is doing its job greatly i havent overheated yet since i put it in

Hope it works, the bumper inlet do not let in enough air and the air dam is located behind the radaitor under the car.It is not a flush mount per your pictures.

Also if you haven't already looked. If you pull the radiator shroud off and look between the radiator grill and the ac and oil cooler there might be tons of debris lodged in there causing it to overheat. These cars and the corvettes are alike. They are road trash suckers. I had this same problem along time ago and found out after I had replaced everything that had to do with the cooling system that all it was was built up leaves, trash, sticks and a bird nest!. Cleaned it out and wallah!

I had the same problem with my 86 iroc 305 carbed. I had an electric fan then switched it out for a big block flex fan. Now it runs at 100 on the street at night and 160 on a hot day.
