#11
hey, not to be a thread stealer but i have 1 quick yes or no question.
Is my 305 in my 87 suposed to be really hot? like let it idle for 2-3 min and rev it a bit, and i wont even be able to touch the big rad hose its so hot, and opening the hood, its like a huge burst of hot air, my question is, is this normal?

not sure of the 3rd gens but can u get a four row radiator for it. check and see how many rows of tubes are in the one in the car. talk to the local radiator shop and see if they make a better one for your car. timing off can make her run hot.

There is a reason the air dams are made from softer material, in one word "FLEX". The one you have fab'd from metal may look good but you will be sorry when you hit a speed bump or a steep incline. There goes that inflexable metal air dam. I can not stress enough how important this part is in the proper cooling of 3rd gen cars,

Hey man, i wanted to do the same thing to my iroc. how did you go about making it? did u just take a square piece and bend a lip on one end then drill holes where it bolts up? i bet that looks real good. post a pic when your done. also i dont have access to free stainless, how much would a big enough piece cost?

yes i took a peice of stainless and bent it at the back and i took a plasma cutter to make the shape of the front nose i will post pics later tonight but about the cost i honestly dont know i dont buy it i just work with it i will ask my boss thou
