Hi, i still havent managed to decide on witch Camaro to buy. Anotherone has come up now. Its a 1987. 305 with an original5 speed manual gearbox.. My question is this.. Will the gearbox hold up if i change to aa mild (300-350bhp) 350cid engine?? Are these gearboxes any good?

 

i will let you know it mine does . i have been running a 5 spd for 2 years after i gernaded my 700r4 trany(it had a shiht kit and would lift the tires off the ground when it shifted form 1st to second) that was with a modified 305, i just put in a highly modified 350.and the 5 spd trany is holding up ok it is the clutch that is the problem.
