Is a 8 CYLINDER 5.7 LITER MFI ........
I am looking at getting a F-Bdoy and my budy has had a couple and told me to get the LS1 that it is fairly cheap to mod and has really good performance for the money. My question is i am looking at a 2001 T/A and it says it has a 8 CYLINDER 5.7 LITER MFI is that the same thing as the LS1 that some say they have? THis car also has the ram air package and is a WS6

All the V8 model camaros and firebirds 1998-2002 came with the LS1. They're great motors very reliable and fast coming from the factory with 350+hp. Even though GM clamed that the Z28/formula came with 315 and the SS/Trans-am WS6 came with 325 in reality both pushed over 300 to the wheels over 350 to the fly wheel. Oh ya by the way the ram air dosen't do **** for the car its just for looks so go for the cheapest one you'll still get the same power but you'll save a few bucks

Dude theres no performance or suspention difference what so ever between the WS6 and the SS or the Trans-Am and Z28. Just some visual things like the hood and badges. The ram air does nothing sure the concept makes since but air is air. It can only get as cold as the temp outside if it comes from the bottom of the engine compartment or the top it's not cool enough to notice a change.
