Default 350 tranny with a 2500 stall

does anyone know if a 350 tranny with a 2500 stall and shift kit and a manual valve body would be good for my 88 camaro with a 350 motor

Might be, might not be. It makes a difference what your use is going to be (street car, street/strip). Is something wrong with your 700R4? Taking it out and putting in a T350 loses your overdrive, which won't be nearly as good for highway driving.
You would also need to get an aftermarket frame mounted torque arm mount.
The driveshaft will need to be lengthened about 3".
Deciding on a stall speed isn't a number that gets picked out of a hat. It's based on how the engine is built (and where it makes peak torque), plus what you're willing to put up with.
A manual valve body is just that, no automatic features. You'll be shifting it like you would a manual trans, but without a clutch.

Why not find an old scrappy 700R4, get that one rebuilt, and do a weekend swaparoo?
You're gonna go through a lot of b.s. to put in a T350 just for a short term.

Yeah, the th350 isn't a direct bolt in. Shift linkage is different, cross member, and drive shaft length, not to mention there is no torque arm mount on a 350.

Find a 700R4 as 69 suggested, rebuild it, then do the swap in just a few hours.

How much what? How much money selling it, or how much performance? You can get them built to take anything you're thinking of giving it.
All it takes is money.

I think he means how much can he resell the bad one for.

I really hope you don't sell it under the assumption of being a good transmission (ripping someone off). Being sold as a core, you could bring anywhere from $10-$100 for it. Probably closer to $10 since it's aluminum, but if someone is looking for a good rebuildable core you could get more than that.
