Default First ever 1/4 mile pass.

Well I went to the track today. The car went 14 flat at 103.I babied it out of the hole.2.43 60 ft.6.44 330 ft.9.43 1/8th mile.11.93 1000ft.14.00 at 103 mph.It spun in second I had to let off almost all the way to get it to rehook. It dont sound very fast but 103 in a 1/4 mile is pretty quick with an open rear end. Also it was the first and only pass I have made ever in a car in the 1/4 mile. All my racing was done on circle tracks.I have raced snowmobiles on asphalt but that is totaly different than a car.I may take it back again but without a posi I dont think I can get it to run more than 3 or 4 tenths quicker. If I hit it perfect and dont spin.

It is that black 82 z28.You offered to sell me your 273 limited slip diff a couple of months ago.Its got a 370 ci crower forged internals.roller everything.A worked set of brodix heads.Wieand team g intake and what I think is a 800 holley double pumper. The choke tower has been milled off so there is no numbers on it.Holley told me to take it back to hutter performance to see if they can tell me exactly what it is and what they did to it.Hutter told me it is off one of there nascar modified motors.I messed up and put synthetic motor oil in it.I only ran it about 10 miles but it still ate up the valve seals I think cause now it puffs out smoke when you first fire it.The motor was built along time ago and sat for many years only being run a couple times a year so maybe with the recent thrashings it is trying to tell me to pull it out and freshen it up before I hurt it.I really need to invest in a rear end.A scatter sheild would make me feel a little safer also.I coach high school baseball so I havent been able to come on here for a while but now it is over and time isnt so tight.
