ok that was no where near what i was asking i know it is crate with tpi. the question im wanting answered is if a crate engine is in gen 1 lt or ls style engine for buying some parts. like will lt1 heads fit that kind of things.

Check the serial numbers on the block and check it with the code and that should tell you what year the block is, I know you said it was a new crate motor but it will still from a particular era. I have a Crate motor in mine that is new from the Chevy dealer that came from the 79 to 85 era
