I have a question that I hope you guys can help with.

I see 3 temp sensors, 2 in the top of the thermostat housing and 1 between the first 2 plugs on the drivers side.

What do each control?

The one in the head is the sending unit to your temp gauge. The one on the thermostat housing are used for your computer to adjust fuel based on coolant temperature.

There are actually 2 in the thermo housing...1 for fans?

It is definitely running rich, plugs were soaked. Mind you, most of the vacuum lines were either off, cracked, or in the wrong spot.

Vacuum lines will be set right tomorrow, new plugs, fuel filter on Friday. We'll see if that fixes the idle.

There are 2 electrical connectors on the carb, one on each side. Idle control and choke? I need a carbs for dummies book, it's been years since I worked on a car carb. Dirt bikes and weed-wackers, but not a car in years.
