Default 1989 305. camaro rough idle

1989 305. tbi v8 camaro .........Ok guys i will try to explain the best i can and hopefully you can help me out. When i first start my car it has no problems starts every time but idles rough up and down up and down wants to stall . But after irunning for a few min it gose away and runs fine untill i shut it off and let it sit. if i turn it off and then start it right away its fine . but if i let it sit it dose it again ......any thoughts ? i can take a video and upload if need be

if you can do the video, that would be great. sounds like it could be a few things. what does the tach show for high and low rpms while its hunting for idle?

ok i will take a video later on tonight when i get off work. I also noticed that when i turn the steering wheel when in park thats when it really idles low and wants to stall

That's from the load of the power steering pump, and slowing down the engine somewhat is normal. You have something else causing the erratic idle issue, the steering isn't a concern.

It could be something a simple as your coolant temp sensor. Or IAC, TPS, or an o2 sensor.
