1986 z28 305v8 won't start
I am new to the forums so I am looking for some help.
I have an 1986 z28 camaro that I purchased from my best friend's father after my buddy passed away. I don't have a base line on what all has been done and when on the vehicle.
In September the car was running fine. In October it started to be difficult in getting the vehicle started. This is the first carb'd vehicle I have owned so I thought maybe I was doing it wrong. When I went to put the car in storage it won't start.
The battery is fully charged. The fuel is topped off. But when I turn the key it tries and wants to start but won't turn over.
I know this might be a simple solution for most people, but to be honest I don't know too much about mechanics but I want to learn and I want to get this car up and going as a tribute to my friend. So many memories with this vehicle.

After trying to start it, remove air cleaner lid, open the choke butterfly by hand (if it isn't already open), look down the carburetor, pump the throttle linkage a few times, and watch for gas to squirt. If no gas, you get no fire. Report back with your findings.
