Default 1985 Camaro Z28 Engine Price?

I have a 1985 Camaro Z28 that doesn't have the orginal engine. It used to have a 350hp, but the previous owner blew that out, so he replaced it with a 305hp. And he did a horrible job with the wiring. The electrical system is a total mess, and I want to get it straightened out, but I want a 350 in there first so it costs less to get the wiring fixed down the road. What price range am I looking at for a 350hp engine? It doesn't have to be brand new, and my father and I can take apart, clean, fix, and rebuild an engine. But what kind of price am I looking at here?

350 is the size not the hp(horse power). I got a used 350 for $300 bucks but expect to pay 300-500 for a used 350. Depending on condition. It could be more though your best bet is to check Craigslist and see what's out there.

it did not have a 350 cid engine from the factory
1985 Chevy Camaro '85 - ThirdGen.org

if that car ever had a 350 cid engine then it was put in by a prior owner.

And why would you think it would cost less to get "wiring fixed down the road" for a 350 vs a 305 ?
