Default starter

ok im replacing the starter on my v6 it came off just fine but now i cant get the new one back on its barely off from the starter mount but i cant get the starter to go in anymore can anyone help me out

Did it match-up with the old one? Some of these re-man starters can have a slight difference on the housing and may cause interference in some vehicles. Check both the starter body as well as the solenoid are of the same lenths.

the old starter and the new starter are exactly the same and it is a brand new fresh out the box starter

something must be different. look for marks on the starter to see if u can tell were its hitting.

i had the same exact prob when i was doin an izuzu (same 3.1 motor) u have to hand start the bolt on the passenger side first then start the other 1 and tighten. trust me it was a b****h
