Yeah sorry if I posted in the wrong place but my V6 just burnt up.... Here is my question: Is the new V6 2.8L from GM the same style engine? Because I can't just throw a V8 where I live because if it is then I'd just throw that in there instead. I could only find a few things on it. It just said V6 2.8L with 280 hp 170 ci though. So i thought it is the same I just want to know if it is. Thank you.

 

The only motor you can drop in is a 2.8, 3.1 or 3.4. they all have the same bellhousing pattern. the 2.8 is a 135HP motor and the new 2.8 will not fit in with out changing the tranny bellhousing, and a lot of other things.
