can you give more info about the engine and fuel injection? and how long has it been doing this? how long does the car stay on before shutting off? it could possibly be a computer problem, or your fuel pump might be starting to die out, or your gas could be bad. i dont know but what i would do is find a way to plug into acess port and see if any codes come up.

its been doing this for about a month, i think it has a 305 engine not completly sure. its a v6 FI, runs fine when the engine is cold, its when it gets hot that it shuts off. im able to turn it back on fine for a couple sec. but then it just shuts off.

sounds almost like as soon as it hits closed loop it dies. pull the codes from the computer. something is probably stored.
