Just get a service manual for your particular car (Chilton, Haynes. etc..) they will walk you right through the job. Removing and replacing the engine on a third gen Camaro is pretty straight forward. Although, you will need an egine crane and some good jack stands.

Next question can not find a cheap 2.8l so how would and how much would it cost to put a 305 with a crab in I know I will need to get a bellhousing for the trans other than that how would I do away from the electric flue injection and make this thing crank and run I know I can get good 305 for 300

you may need more than a bell housing. 305 may push to hard for your trans, im not sure, so ask around but the typical response is that they will not be compatible. Now as for the 305 they run anywhere from $400 to $2000 dependent on what you get and from where... I personally would go with the 350, more efficient... oddly enough. you may want to look into engine and trans Assemblies that are together... Also if you plan on putting a CRAB on your motor I would be cautious as it will probably die from the heat...

the v6 auto does not mate to a v8, there are no separate bell housings...its all one unit. You'll need a v8 model trans. Read the v6 to v8 swap stickies....they'll give you most everything you need to know

If your looking to go cheap stick with the 2.8. You can upgrade to the 3.1 if you are looking to get a few more horses (About 15 more if i am not mistaken) And yes both motors are cheap and you can find them. Going to a V8 would require a donor car and a good bit of work (not cheap)
