Default Headers and more mods for '89 2.8

Yesterday I bought an '89 model with a 2.8 liter in it and have been able to find very few mods for this engine. I was going to put headers on it but couldn't find much selection for the small v6. Since all the v6's are basically the same block, will headers for the larger ones bolt up? Also what about intake manifolds? I looked up and found one by Edelbrock, but don't know much about it.
I know I can't make anything close to a beast out of the 2.8, but I'm trying to get a good semblance of performance and still get the great gas mileage I do for a Camaro.

Any other mods suggested?
I am new to the Camaro scene, but am trying to learn what I can from the pro's. any info would be appreciated.

Thanks much! Rich

BUYA V-8, i have a 2.8 now, u will get bored with your 6cylinder, as i did. The Motor TO ME IS NOT WORTH TRYING TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS. dont get me wrong, sum people did cool stuff, but u dont c many Beefed up v-6s.IF u want a camaro, and dont want to be laughed at, consider a motor swap- WANT SPEED OR GAS mileage?

Thanks for the quick replies!
I was able to get a set of Pacesetter headers from JEGS the other day and I also bought a glass pack and I plan to redo the entire exhaust system.
I'm also looking into getting an intake manifold and carb and switching from fuel injection to carburetion.
Has anyone tried this switch themselves?

Is so:
Any tips for conversion?

What to plug injector ports with?

Do you recommend any manifold in particular and where did you get it?

Do you recommend any carb and where did you get it?

What should my carburetor CFM be?

Does this conversion require any ignition mods?

Thanks much! Rich

hey man. my advice is to if your going to want to spice up your engine... then go with the enternals. i havent worked much with v6's but im sure its not much different. and get these pipes. they are made by morso. they are spiral race mufflers. they sound sweet on my friends ls1. but for more power in my opinion go with a new cam. lifters. and stuff like that. but that is just my opinion.
