Could I Swap in this Engine - 86 Trans Am LT1
[blockquote]"HERE IS A GOOD RUNNING TUNE PORT ENGINE FROM A 1986 PONTIAC TRANS AM. IT IS 5.0 TUNE PORT. 91,156 MILES. RAN GREAT WHEN PULLED. IT COMES COMPLETE WITH WIRING HARNESS, COMPUTER, MASS AIRFLOW SENSER, BELTS, A/C PUMP, AIR PUMP, PWR STEERING PUMP, AND ALT. IT WILL NEED AN OIL PAN. THIS CAR WAS SITTING FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS. WE JUST PULLED THE ENGINE LAST WEEK. IT WAS RUNNING WHEN PULLED. IT HAS A NEW AC DELCO STARTER ON IT. IT COMES WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT IS 700 R4 4SPD AUTOMATIC. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FULLY TEST THE TRANS BECAUSE OF A BLOWN BRAKE LINE BUT IT DID MOVE AND HAD REVERSE SO I AM SURE IT IS GOOD. I JUST DIDNT DRIVE IT DOWN TH ROAD. THIS ENGINE WOULD BE GREAT IN A JEEP OR OTHER HOT ROD. I WILL NOT SHIP. I NEED A $100 DEPOSIT AFTER THE AUCTION IS UP. THIS IS NOT FREE SHIPPING. I WILL NOT SHIP. PICK UP ONLY"[/blockquote]
The 455 was too expensive...and a little too much for just a Camaro...
So this engine is my backup, with everything that's included, do you think I'd be able to put it into a 91 Camaro RS?

it'll fit in a Camaro, and it'll bolt right in too (3rd gen Firebird/Trans Ams share the same structure as the Camaro's). you will need a v8 guage cluster though, or else the tach will NOT read right (believe me, i found out the hard way)
