Default car wont start

hey all i have a problem and you all are smart as hell. here it is last week my timing chain stretched in my 87 camaro 2.8l i replaced it and got it timed pretty good but i dont think good enough anyways it ran i drove it to work everyday till this weekend it sputtered a little the whole time to and from work. so i check the spark and plugs before i dug back into it recheck the timing. the wires and plugs were pretty bad so i replaced them i also checked the compression and it was at 140 i dont know if that is the correct pressure it supposed to be at but all cylinders were the same so anyways back to it i replaced the wires and plugs and tried to start it and all it does is just turn over no real sputter like its trying to start or anything. please help its the only car for a family of 4 for now anything and everthing that could help ill take.

Did you have these problems prior to replacing your chain and did it run better after you replaced it? If you set the gears a tooth off it will run like **** from the beginning so you probably did it correctly.Did the plugs look carbonor oil fouled? You mayhave fixed one problem andanother occured. When ever you have a no-start check your basics, fuel and spark.
