Default 89 Camaro MAF Problems

Hey, newbie here. Hopefully I can give a good enough description of the problem so that someone might actually know what I'm talking about.

I have an 89 Camaro 2.8 L V6 with 58,000 miles on it. It was very strange because everytime I hit a bump the motor would miss or bog down (whatever you want to call it). Someone told me to tap on the mass air flow sensor and sure enough that was the problem. So I took it off and brought it into O'reily in exchange for a remanufactured one.

I put the remanufactured MAF sensor on and now it runs worse. It has a very rough idle, it runs pretty good once it gets to around 1500 RPM or more but still a miss here and there. I have also noticed that the voltage meter doesn't stay steadily above 13. Sometimes it goes a little below 13, sometimes it stays right at 13, sometimes its above 13. After I drive it a couple miles it does start to idle a little better, but once I turn it off and start it back up it goes back to a rough idle again. Another strange thing happens......the service engine soon light stays off for about the first 5 minutes it runs, but then it comes on for about 30 seconds but then goes back off.

I have drove it for about 30 miles in this condition hoping that the sensors would "adjust" or whatever the mechanic term is. But nothing has gotten any better. Have any of you experienced this problem or know what it might be? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
