3.8L Malibu engine?
Guys,
I know this is a long shot, but I was hoping if you would know. I need a manual tranny that will mate a 1981 Malibu 3.8L V6. Now, you might ask why post this on a Camaro forum? Well, I was hoping someone would know if the 91-91 V6 camaro bellhousing for the 3.8L matches the 3.8L bellhousing for the chevy Malibu.
As for the details, I am making a street rod using this engine and I was planning on using the auto tranny, but I do not like how it will fit in the frame rails, so now I am switching to a manual option.
This engine was referred to as the LD5 and was common in late 70s early 80's Buicks as well.
Any help in finding out of the Camaro croses would be great.
Randy

Update: Discovered that the Chevy Malibu 3.8 has the same SBC bellhousing as 80-90's camaro v8's so I can use any T5 manual I want from any V8 camaro. The Malibu 3.8 was not the same as the Buick 3.8 which had a BOP bellhousing.
Thanks for looking if anyone was curious. I have my plan.
