alright ive got a 1991 rs and i wanna drop an LSX engine in it...is that even possible? will it bolt in and if so am i gonna need a new transmission?

Yes it's possible. There are several third-gens running around with LSx motors in them.

And yes, I'd go with a new transmission, as I bet the 700R4 won't handle the power, at least without a major update/refresh.
