Default Different VSS?

So i pulled the tranny from a 89 Chevy Silverado for my 1991 Chevy Camaro Z28 L98 and ran into a problem. When changing the tail shaft i noticed the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is different, the one on the tail shaft from the camaro is gear driven the one on the tail shaft from the truck is a magnet style can i just plug it in or what should i do?

From the truck

You could simply swap the tailshaft housing.....
