Default Is my project a rs or z28? 1990 camaro

I recently bought a 1990 camaro. Guy said it was a z28. Badge on the dash says it's a z28. There are no outside badges on bumper or ground effects due to ground effects being broken on the front on both sides. All researched information points to it being a 305 L03 rs car but I'm just confused as it why would the dash have a z28 emblem? 8th letter is "E", spid doesn't have a z28 or b4c rpo code so I'm just trying to see what do I really have. Did any z28s come with the tbi L03 305 in 1990? I know that the irocs were discontinued in 1990, so I know it's not an iroc. Tried to post pic of spid with vin n rpo codes but I'm new to this site. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1990 was the last year for the Iroc, 91 has not Iroc , Lo3 could be an iroc or an RS. It was the only engine that could have gone either way....

All interior badges should say Iroc is small letters under the larger Z28. If not the emblems are from a earlier or later year when the when Z28's (no-Iroc) where available. Search Google 1990 Z28 dash.

thanks alot. I'm really convinced it's a rs. The vin 8th letter is "E", rearend gears are 2.73, it's nothing on the spid that indicates it to be a z28. And alot of sites indicate dash badge means nothing cause dash could have came out of an original z28. It's just so much conflicting information. Either way I still love a 3rd gen camaro. Again thanks alot!

check the numbers in the center console, there's a sticker there, it will give all the necessary information, that's if the vin isn't enough. can always check for use of aftermarket glue on the emblems

As coldblooded suggests, look at RPO sticker, and find Z28.
If present, then a Z28, if not present, no Z.
