87 Fuel pump wiring

87 Fuel pump wiring
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have an 83 Jeep CJ7 with a 87 Irok 305 TPI motor. I bought the jeep with the motor in it, so this is why I am lost.
I swapped out the standard 12 gallon fuel tank with a 20 gallon tank. I am using the "in tank" fuel pump and is wired directly to the ignition. I believe there is supposed to be a solenoid or something that shuts the pump off when it gets to pressure and back on intermittently. Since the solenoids are not in their normal spots as on an Irok, I don't know what it looks like. Could someone describe what the solenoid looks like or a number that is on it so I can try to find it in my firewall.
Thanks, Scott

In the Camaro, there is a fuel pump relay that initially primes the system for a few seconds when the key is on, then it turns off. Once the engine is started, the ECM activates the fuel pump and it stays running as long as the engine is. There is no shut off when it reaches a certain pressure, fuel is always flowing, and any excess not going to the injectors gets bypassed through the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail and gets dumped back into the tank. Sounds like you're saying your pump is hot-wired to run constantly with the ignition? That'll work, just that the fuel pump will keep running if the engine stalls/kills on it's own, or if the engine quits due to a crash. Could be a bad thing if you have a broken fuel line. As far as the relay and associated wiring, your Jeep doesn't have what the Camaro had. If you're wanting it set up like a Camaro, you'll have to add a relay into the circuit like how it was in the Camaro.
