Ok well my 91 RS has red interior and the driver seat is cut. Today a piece of metal poked out of the seat and ripped a pair of my jeans. Is there any way to fix it and have the seat recovered? I know i wont be able to find a red seat in PA around me.

 

Sounds like you need to take the cover off and fix the frame. Got any pics?

 

How much would it cost to recover this seat after I fix the frame?

Well go the cheap way and put a seat cover on it. Or go the whole way and tear it apart, fix the metal that's poking out and get a new cover or have it patched or repaired.

 

I dont want to have any seat covers because the rest of my interior is perfect. I would like to tear it down but I was curious as too about how much it would cost to recover.

 

I dont know what the going rate is for having them done by a professional. I am going to do mine myself. If you do that then probably the only cost you will have is in buying the new seat cover itself. Probably the foam padding will be fine to reuse again.

 

Do you know where I can buy the fabric to recover my seat to match my other seats? I searched google and came up with nothing.
