Default cluster schematic

I need help! We have a 90 RS that is in the shop getting a new cluster put in. I'd show you link to it but my son is at work and well he was the one who ordered it. Shop is having an issue with wiring. This is example of what they told me. By the way, I think new cluster is LED digital.

for example cluster instructions say connect yellow wire to sending unit. but sender doesnt have yellow. and it doesnt specify if it goes to another color. cant find a good cluster schematic for his car.

I am going to look around a bit but if anyone has a quick point to something to assist them, it would be very appreciated.

Go here, "3rd gen wiring diagrams": https://camaroforums.com/forum/camar...d-views-73894/
It's obviously an aftermarket cluster, as the factory one just "plugs in" when it's set in place. Would probably be helpful to know what cluster he got.

Hmmmm, you might not like what I have to say, maybe. The factory GM gauge cluster fitment is 1982-1989, with mechanical speedo, and electronic tach with 3 separate gauges with oil gauge in the tach. Then 1990-92, where everything is electronic, but these have 4 separate gauges. This I know, I used to have a 91, but don't know if that makes a difference in the wiring loom/plug. The fitment of your new one says 1982-1990, which obviously has me questioning it. If more things don't seem to match, I'd start to doubt the compatibility.
By the way, here is the one they're calling a "1991-92" cluster: Camaro Red, Led Digital Replacement Gauge Cluster, 1991-1992
For reference, Dakota Digital lists their clusters as 1982-89 and 1990-92.

He went with this one because there were so many youtube videos of others upgrading to it. I hope they make it work because he's had it here in the box a while and I don't know that he can send it back.
