There's no such thing as a 1983 IROC-Z. You can get a 1983 Z28, but there were no IROC-Z Camaros until 1985.

Aside from that, you will want to change out that transmission 'cause you'll blow it apart if you put in an engine that makes any kind of power.

Got any pics? I personally wouldn't say it's a bad deal based on what you said, but pictures always make it easier.

I'd say not too bad if you're good with a sledgehammer and a rattle can.....

well saint ebony, the glovebox has a emblem that says iroc-z z28, so thats just what i thought but if ur right which u probably r i'd say it was a just a z-28, or the boy just dont know what year it is and thinks he does,or its not the original glovebox door. i dont have any pics yet but as soon as i get some i will post. and i do plan on puttin a 350 in it which is what ive been told come out of it, but i plan on beefin it up some and i'll just leave the tranny in it till i blow it up. save some money and time. the damage aint really that bad it was just metal that is messed up no fibereglass so im ok there. i appreciate it if yuns know anything else let me know.

Get the VIN and run it through one of those VIN-check sites, it'll tell you what year it is.

You can also check the RPO codes inside the center console. If you see "B4Z" it's an IROC-Z, which also means it's not a 1983 car.

Either way, for $150 it's either going to be total crap, or a hell of a steal. 'tis your call which

Thumbs down

You can call or think that car for $150 is z28-irocz or anything else but just a emblem dose NOT make it one.
