seems like a decent car, try and make him go lower though, if he wont do it. you can always pay what hes asking, unless you dont have the money to.

It looks like a good car give him a call and feel him out. See if he'll go lower.

I'm new to the forum and just stumbled across you question concerning the 88 camaro. If your anywhere near the Tri-State area it seems that everyone is asking top dollar for their camaro in this area. I'm in Jersey and have seen it myself. If its a TRUE Iroc-Z with 50k on it then it would be worth more than5K in its condition. What would it be worth with the performance parts on it?I'm not sure. It all depends on what you want it for. A collector car or a cruiser. If this guy really wants to sell, you'd should have no problem getting him to lower his price. If not, I've got a 88 Iroc, 5-speed that I'm gonna be selling soon. Its not in as good shape cosmetically but it only has 86K on it and its not heavily modded. Oh yeah, and I won't be asking 5K for it. Just food for thought. Good luck with the car.

Sorry for trying to sell you in response to your question, I just figured that I'd let you know that there are other camaros out there. If you're not sure on the price then don't do it. It's easier to swallow the fact that you didn't buy something then to have buyers remorse.
