Default 76' LT Worth the price?

Hey everyone. New to the forums but I have a question about a possible future purchase. The car in question is a 76 LT with a 4 speed manual and 350. Body is straight and primered and interior is in fair condition. Asking price is $2000obo. Car runs well, 10k on a rebuilt engine. Right now just looking at a camaro to have with possibility of restoration in the future. I know these years aren't exactly "desirable" but I dig the style. Is it worth the $ or not so much? Thanks in advance.

I have a 76 base, 350 automatic. 2K sounds like a decent price if it is a factory 4 speed. I got mine new in 77 but sold it a couple times. Luckily it remained in great condition and in 2002, I paid 4500 to get it back. It had a new paint job, rebuilt original engine and turbo 350 transmission. I like the body style and if you color match the bumpers, it make a huge difference in appearance!

Welcome to the forum! If the engine and trans are in good shape I don't see how you could go wrong at $2,000. Hopefully it doesn't have a bunch of rust hidden under the primer, but even if you scrapped it out the drivetrain is almost worth the purchase price.

Awesome. I don't think the rust is too bad. I thinks its been a primarily AZ car so the rust factor isn't too high here. Thanks for the replies everyone.

I paid that for mine and had to do a lot of work before I could drive it. But my body had no rust issues which meant a lot to me. Wish mine was a four speed.

$2K seems fair.
