Default Windsheild wiper arm

Hey guys. Me and a friend were changing out my steering wheel with a grant a few days ago and without a puller and accidently broke off my windsheild wiper /blinker/highbeam control lever. When this happend the very end part broke of inside so now I have no wipers and the such. How would u normally remove this arm from the column? Detailed instructions please.Any ideas how to get my piece broke off inside out?

Pull. If there is any sticking out. It has metal part that slides into the actual wiper switch and the plastic sleeve turns that. If it has cruise then pull and fish wires. You might be able to attach a piece of wire to the end and as you pull it will come through. then atache that to the new unit and pull in the other direction.

If you do have to replace that switch, use a puller then take off the steering wheel, take the hub nut off and then use a lock plate remover to get down into the colum to get to the switch.

The rod has a small tab on it and it should fit tight into the switch so it will turn it. The plastic collar on the lever with the tab that says wash rotates and turns a different part of the switch. Hopefuly the inside if the switch that had the broken piece is not damaged.

which direction should the tab go in? Also does it go straight in or in then turn to lock it in place?

I dont remeber which direction the small tab goes. You can look at the print on the lever and it will give an idea. And it should just go straight in. There is a groove on the metal part that snaps in and holst it in place.
