quote from massey
The 98+ arms will fit without issue on the 93-97 but they will not look right. They will work just fine but may chatter a little when the glass is semi dry. This can also be fixed by using the wiper linkage from the 98+ cars.

93-97 have a different angle on the pivot points and have a reversed hook that requires a special blade. The 98-02 have a standard hook and can use normal wiper blades.

How will it not look right? And what linkage are you talking about?
Ya I know the hooks are different which is why I want to the 98 style. Is there a way to ge the 98 to set up nicely so they look like they should be there?

ok so i was searching older post and found one thing that massey said is that the shafts are different. So that being said are the wiper linkages interchangeable? How hard is it to remove the linkage from the motor? Also I looked at a few pictures of why they wouldn't look right because half the plastic is missing on the newer camaros which is fine, plus if i really wanted to have the plastic on i probably could find a way to get it attached to the new wiper arms.

The wind deflector will not attach to the newer arms, and the way they park on the cowl you dont want to have them there. You can swap out the linkage no problem it is all interchangable. If you dont you will notice the joint where the arm bends (at the hinge) will stick up a little more than with the 98+ linkage. My friend is using the 2000 arms on his 96 with no issues except a little chatter on a misty window. It didnt chatter with the 96 arms. I converted my other firend's 95 to 98 linkage and arms and there is no chatter. It all bolts up the same and if you put the 2 units side by side it is really hard to tell which one is which so be careful.

Ok I'll get the linkage too. Is there a easy way to get the wiper arms off? Mine are stuck on pretty darn good. Is there a puller that would possibly help?

small gear pullers or battery post pullers work good. I have used a soft blow hammer to free mine when they have been stuck really good.
