Where is the thermostatic fan switch on a 1991 rs 305? The fan stays on as soon as the key is turned. I checked the relay and it is fine. Is this switch actuated by making ground??

 

if your air conditioning is on it forces your fan to come on

 

its very hard to see...i just replaced mine on my 89 rs. but i can get you to it...

stand on the passenger side, and lean into the engine and toward the windshield. You have to really crane your neck to see it, but its got a black cap thingy on it. Its a pain to get tools in it too.

at least your fan comes on, mine doesnt come on unitl the engine almost overheats, and thats after replacing it!!
