Default Whats it worth

Ok I have a 1982 third gen camaro z28. There is a few bubbles of rust starting to poke through, and the underside has the normal rust areas. Also the dash is missing the stereo piece that goes around the cd player, one rip in the drivers seat, rest of interior is almost perfect. The motor I switched to a 77 Malibu 350 with a holley intake, carb, and Jegs headers. I also took out the ECU, catalytic converter, and there is no EGR valve, basically running old school. The bad part.. something with the transmission went wrong. I have power to any gears, and the only gear that actually attempts to work is reverse, but when it's in reverse it sqeeks. I'm in a bind and need some money now however, can anyone point me into the direction of how much this car is worth? Or if not, what would have went wrong with my tranny. I think the stock tranny is only a turbo 200 but it was rebuilt, only had about 8500 miles on it. The 350 motor also a fresh rebuild. Thanks.

Not worth very much in the condition you described. A junkyard may charge you to tow it away in my opinion.

unfortunatly with a blown tranny and a few rust spots ( not to mention the age). the car isnt worth too much money. MIGHT be able to get 2000 or 2500 for it. Take the tranny out and have it checked. Could be the tranny, torque converter, any number of things. Good luck

Craigslist is your friend on this type of condition transaction. Since it is an '82 you might get $1,500-1,800 for it.

I would say its worth $900 if the tranny is bad...
