just noticed today that my windshield vin # was rusted to ****!! My driver side door still has my stock vin and is in good condition but i need to change the whole door because of rust on the bottom.. the thing is that my car has back tax and i was wondering if they would want the top windshield vin for registering my car again???? what should i do with my doors vin when i get a new door?? what would you do in my position?

 

just right down the vin number on a small piece of paper and put it with the registration paper.
