Looking at buying a 1982 original pace carfrom original owner.No modifications,it isa automatic.pw,door locks,t-tops and it has the 305 cross fire engine.Tires are new andtheoriginal paint is great needsnothing other than tune-up and air compressor.It is extremely clean,decals,owner manual and window sticker comes with car along with the orginal tires.The car has 40,000 miles on the clock.He is asking 6,500 for the car.What are yall thoughts,I had one of these cars 20 years ago and paid 5,000 back then and I can honestlysay it was not as nice as this one.Plus I drove it for 3 years and then sold it for 4,500.Is this a possible future collectible??just looking for opinions.Thanks,Craig

 

When you had your first did you have any opinion on it on how much of a collectable it was? I would think it would have some collectabilty not only because its an Indy pace car but there were only 6,362 made. I don't know if that number was for just replicas or included the actual pace cars as well.

I skimmed through some of my magazines and books and found that 2 of the cars from the number mentioned before were actual Indy pace cars.
And I wanna se some pics tooo!!!
