summit racing has fiberglass hoods and some kind of glass that is really light.its not really glass tho. have seen fiberglass deck lids (the part the back glass goes in) in the jegs magazine .not for sure if they make it for out cars tho. but all that sounds like a very pretty penny

If you're looking for weight loss the biggest thing you can do is gut the interior and drive around with fumes in the tank.

What JR said.......

Ditching the hood will only save about 30 lbs........hell, going to aluminum heads will save you 80 lbs...........but really, whats 80lbs? Unless you gut your interior, strip all her HVAC and SMOG, go to a lightweight driveshaft and rearend....your not going to notice the difference.
Thats the joy of a car with lots of torque...........torque launches you, a few pounds either way wont be noticed..........

Throw everything out that is not needed to make the car run, stop, & steer. Get a hole saw and make holes all over the body of the car, that will take care of the AC. Remove all glass and wear goggles. lol

removing the backseat, spare, and jack will save about 100 lbs. otherwise, a 3300lb car is not very heavy
