Default Vortech Supercharger

Has anyone done a Vortech SB Supercharger kit to a Stock Carbed 305??? I was lookin into it and wanted to know if i can do it without changing the fuel system...

None that i know of... Ill blast them an Email to see... Im gonna change the carb and intake anyway...

well for one i definatley wouldnt supercharge a 305

Yea, I'd get a 350 first at least. More potential.. Ya know? But hey if a 305 works, you do what you can.

The kit will definetely have to have some enhancments to the fuel system in order to adjust fuel pressure to the carb to prevent flooding and starving as the blower pressure increasesor decreases. Having dealt with blow through system, I find them to be a real pain in the ****. Personally, if I had to use carbs I would go with a roots or screw type blower to avoid the fuel pressure issues, and just deal with greter fuel delivery to the carb.

If you supercharged a 305 and left the stock fuel system on there, you would have some major air/fuel ratio problems. If you're adding way more air, you need to add more fuel. I also agree that with carbs, go with a roots style blower....

or you can look into a procharger they make kits for carbed applications and they are intercooled which is better for your engine. Plus they compensate the fuel pressure by closeing off the return line in relation to the amount of boost.
