I am new so bare with me please....I need info on how to bypass the vats (pass key) module gm part # 16135270 on a 89..... the module to replace it is 0ver 350 at chevy not including keying the system HELP!! PLEASE im sure someone out there has had a simular problem I have read other posts saying it can not be bypassed but i know a guy that did a bypass on the module 4 a vet...

 

You must not have read enough posts. I have seen this come up many times and some post with links on how tos'.
I have always wondered what the big problem is that people have with thier pass key until the other day when I jumped in my car and got nothing. So my big fix was instead of going into full panic mode and get to bypassing I sprayed some WD-40 into the ignition lock, worked the key in and out, wiped the key off, repeated, and now it works fine.
It simply measuring the resitance in your key and installing a resister that matches it.
